Summer Programmes in Japan

Besides the one-year exchange programmes, students may also participate in the summer programmes described below. These programmes have been established with the assistance of various Japanese individuals and organizations.

Tokyo University of Foreign Studies: Short Stay Summer Programme

Time and Duration: 3 or 4 weeks from early July (subject to change)
No. of Places: 10 to 15 (for students who have completed JAPN 2199 or equivalent)
Location:
Tokyo University of Foreign Studies is located in Fuchu area, outskirt of Tokyo area, which is around 35 mins to Shinjuku by train
Activities:
Participants will attend intensive Japanese language courses (general Japanese or business Japanese), with around 3 hours of classes every weekday. Both courses are provided to learners hands-on exposure to everyday Japanese language in Japanese education, culture and society. Classes will be divided according to the Japanese language proficiency of participants and every course is designed to fulfil the needs of participants of different levels. Accommodation will be arranged by the University.
Tuition fee:
Yen 150,000 (subject to change)
Participants have to bear the cost of air travel, local transportation, accommodation and all personal expenses too.
