The Department of Japanese Studies, established in 1985, and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2015. In 2013-2014, over 1,205 University of Hong Kong students enrolled in one of the Japanese courses offered by our Department. The majority of these students enrolled in credit bearing courses with the remainder taking Japanese certificate courses. The students who graduated with a Major in Japanese Studies in 2013-2014 joined our already 1,431-strong alumni body.

This group intends to bring together all undergraduates, postgraduates and alumni of the Department of Japanese Studies of The University of Hong Kong. It is also for those people who are interested in keeping in touch with former teachers and classmates. We will do our best to provide you with news and events, as well as job postings from the Japanese community in Hong Kong.
