This tutorial-based elective language course provides students with an opportunity to read and discuss Japanese-language texts related to specific aspects of Japanese language. The course aims to enhance students’ knowledge of the Japanese language and culture as well as their reading skills through the examination of works by various authors. The focus will be on the Japanese way of thinking and how it affects and forms the Japanese language.

Co-requisite: JAPN3099. Japanese language III (Part 2) or approval from the instructor
Assessment: 100% coursework (short quizzes, presentation(s) and essay assignment)
